About Ansomari

My journey started small with only a dream to become more ME. To add worth to others’ lives and to be creative. My first Job was at Oude Libertas in Stellenbosch, planning weddings and assisting in the restaurant. Married life and three kids later prompted a few years of accounting and admin experience.

A need to get back to ‘WHY’ I am doing life started to grow. X-posed was born, an NPO that’s sole purpose was to provide a platform for women to discuss relevant topics, grow and build relationships. This gave me the confidence to start Anna Cotton, my first business venture. Days of buying different colourful cotton from the then flourishing cotton mills in Cape Town and transforming them into nonmatching serviette sets were thrilling. Building my new brand led me to take part in local markets.

I experienced a stir in my heart and knew change was coming. During the covid pandemic, I was challenged by a friend to start writing mentoring work for our local church. This soon became a passion that took me by surprise. Learning to design and be responsible for the layout of each page left me energised and hopeful. By the end of the year, I held my first copy of Overwhelmed in my hand. A small book creatively compiled, filled with knowledge gathered, biblical values tested, lessons learned, and experiences gained.

The dream of starting my own décor market became a reality. As founder & organiser of CY Market in Durbanville for 12 years, I was able to plan and dream alongside amazing friends and colleagues, meet extraordinary people, and view and develop exquisite products. Exhibitors became friends and part of one big family I will always cherish.

I sold my beloved Market to an amazing lady. Sent and groomed for the task of taking this platform to new heights. This was truly both a humbling and enlightening experience. It was not the end but the start of something new, with the promise that He would give me a clear vision.

Since then, I have written 2 follow-up books as part of a mentoring series for women. The book A New, is a step-by-step guide to renewing your mind, body, relationships, and vision, seeking God’s promises, and experiencing the freedom to choose Him above all. I ended the set of three with Unfold, which will challenge you to live passionately for the King of Kings. To seek His will, His purpose, and His passion for His people. With Him, there is always more… You will never be the same when you allow Him to take hold of your hand.

While sharing stories on my Facebook page Fluisterwoorde another door opened, and I was given the privilege to read and record all three books at Radio Cape Pulpit for an afternoon series. In this new season, I will listen to His whisper and follow His lead.

To best put Me into one sentence… a follower of Jesus, Wife, Mom, friend, Organiser, Writer, Creative, and Visionary. He gives new meaning to the word perspective… All I can say is: “Look at what the Lord has done!”
